Mandarin Courses:
We offer K-AP Mandarin classes open to students of all ages; when determining the appropriate grade level, we provide suggestions based on the student’s current knowledge, not their school grade. With each grade level, we follow Ma Liping Chinese’s curriculum and textbooks to provide a challenging yet engaging learning environment.
STEM:
Our courses span coding, math, and chess, allowing students to aqcuire skills not often seen in school. Material includes Python, Singapore Math, Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), etc.
Arts:
We encourage students to employ their creativity at WCLS and beyond through our art, dance (adult & childrens), and choir (adult & childrens) classes.
Public Speaking:
We offer a public speaking class to get students familiar with this important skill used in school and beyond at a young age.
We run every Sunday starting from September 7 through June 7, including a year end picnic on June 14.
We offer three time slots, 1:00 PM- 1:55PM, 2:00 PM – 3:25 PM, and 3:35 PM – 5:00 PM. Mandarin classes are split among these three time slots based on grade level while we offer another range of class subjects during these sessions as well. Our Weekend Program is designed for children from Kindergarten through high school. We offer Chinese language and culture classes for different grade levels, starting with age-appropriate activities for young learners in Kindergarten and continuing through advanced courses for middle and high school students. Placement is based on both age and language background, ensuring that each student learns in a class suited to their ability and experience. If you are unsure which class is best for your child, our teachers and administrative staff are happy to assist. We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our program.
Payments cover a full year of classes when registering. If joining WCLS midyear, we calculate the total for the remainder of the year.
Sibling Discounts
Eligibility: Families with 2+ children enrolled in the Weekend Program.
Which child gets the discount: Only one child per family receives the discount, and it is always applied to the child with the lowest tuition.
Example: If Child A’s tuition is $680 and Child B’s tuition is $520, the sibling discount applies only to the $520 tuition (Child B). If three children are enrolled, the discount still applies to just one child—the one with the lowest tuition among the three.
(Note: The discount percentage follows the current-year registration form.)
